Tasting Notes

Aromas of black cherry, leather, espresso, and sweet tobacco; with hints of dried herbs and clove. Full-bodied and rich with ample tannin and bold flavors of blackberries, black currant, mocha, and cabinet spices. The finish is long with flavors of black cherry, black pepper, and toast.

Method

Our "Super-Spanish" Tempranillo-dominant red blend was made using the best Tempranillo, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon barrels hand-selected by our winemaker. The Tempranillo and Malbec portions of this wine come from Numeral Mountain Vineyard in Entiat, accounting for 81% of the blend, nearly making this a vineyard-designated wine. The vines from this site are grown in shallow granite residuum soils along with traces of loess and volcanic ash at an elevation of 1200 feet.
